Garlic Butter Shrimp with Lemon & Parsley

Servings: 2–3
Prep Time: 5 min
Cook Time: 10 min

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • Juice of 1 lemon (about 2 tbsp)

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Optional: drizzle of olive oil for serving

Instructions:

  1. Prep the shrimp: Pat shrimp dry with a paper towel. Season lightly with salt and pepper.

  2. Cook garlic: In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. Cook shrimp: Add shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Don’t overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if needed.

  4. Add lemon & parsley: Squeeze lemon juice over the shrimp and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Toss gently to coat evenly.

  5. Serve: Transfer shrimp to a plate. Optionally drizzle with a little olive oil for shine. Serve with crusty bread, over rice, or pasta.

Chef’s Tips:

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes while sautéing the garlic.

  • Plate on a white dish and garnish with extra parsley or lemon slices for a restaurant-quality presentation.
